PROGRAMS: Education

Ajok is 16 years old and is in Secondary One at St. Stella Matutina Boarding Secondary School in Northern Uganda.

Her mother died when she was one year old and she has lived in the Internal Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Palenga with her Grandmother ever since. Her Grandmother works in a garden to make ends meet, but they depend largely on world food program donations to survive. Her grandmother has received micro-financing from The Ssubi Foundation and she now sells shoes and vegetables in the market.
