Bukenya Godfrey is a 10 year old boy living in Kampala.
When The Ssubi Foundation first heard about Bukenya, he had been out of school for two years with a painful skin disease (Phemengus). The Ssubi Foundation took Bukenya to the International Hospital Kampala (IHK) – Hope Ward where he was treated. The IHK Hope Ward treats underprivileged patients through corporate sponsorship and subsidization. After a 63-day hospital stay, Bukenya was released from IHK and is now back at home where he enjoys playing football. He has a tutor who has helped him prepare for entry back into the regular school system in Kampala by March 2008.
